Hello Friends, Recently, a Cyber Security firm has confirmed a security flaw in all the Microsoft Windows Operating systems through which an attacker can take access to your system. The flaw is known as "PrintNightmare" which is a major security risk for the firms and enterprises where Print services are being used.
What is PrintNightmare?
"PrintNightmare" is a name of the Vulnerability found in all the Microsoft Windows operating systems in July 2021. It is a remote code execution vulnerability where an attacker can take an advantage of the Windows Print Spooler service (spoolsv.exe) flaw of your Windows Operating System and can gain access to your machine. The attacker can remotely run a malicious program; View, Edit, Delete, and steal your data, create a user with full admin rights to gain access to your computer, and can corrupt your computer.
Resolution of PrintNightmare
Microsoft has released a fix or patch on 6th July 2021 for its operating systems to secure the computers which are running on the Microsoft OS. The patch has been released for Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, and Windows 7.
you must be aware that Windows 7 official support has been ended by Microsoft, there are some of the firms who have taken the extended support of Windows 7 but there are a lot of firms or companies who are still working on the Windows 7 operating system and have not taken the extended support as well from the Microsoft. Since it is a very critical risk to the operating systems, Microsoft has released the patch for the Windows 7 operating system as well which can not be installed through the Windows Update Services but can be downloaded and installed manually from the official website of Microsoft.

How to check the Installed Windows Version?
Select the Start button > type winver and press Enter or Go to the Run Window (Window Key + R) and type winver and then press Enter key.
